Dr. Sacharitha Bowers, MD
90-Day Content Strategy & Production Blueprint
VSL · Brand photography · 25 trust-building reels · two-day production schedule · CRM and funnel architecture. This is the plan that gets written before anyone picks up a camera.
Everything starts with the story.
Dr. Bowers is a board-certified physician with 16+ years of experience who walked away from an academic practice after it was acquired, and built something on her own terms. Every frame shot on those two days had to be rooted in that. The story isn't the marketing. The story is the brand.
What we're drawing from
- Immigrant family foundations — grit, sacrifice, risk as legacy
- 16+ years board-certified across medical derm, cosmetics, and holistic care
- Left institutional medicine after the acquisition and chose herself
- Mother of two daughters, modeling what strength looks like
- Health equity advocate for skin of color and underrepresented patients
- Built a virtual, boutique practice entirely on her terms
Two brands, one voice
Sacharitha Bowers, MD is the personal brand that carries everything: speaking, podcast, advocacy, media, partnerships.
Sama Dermatology is the clinical home: booking, the HIPAA entity, the practice itself. Content lives under her name; select posts cross-post to Sama.
Tone: warm, highly intelligent, direct, vulnerable where it counts. Not corporate. She earned her authority, so she owns it.
Aesthetic: premium, clean, human. No stock photography.
Six pillars, and nothing gets made outside them.
Every reel, every photo, every line of the VSL maps to one of these. They aren't categories for the sake of tidiness — each one serves a specific audience and a specific business goal.
Dermatology education & skin health
Evidence-based derm for the lay patient. Conditions, treatments, myth-busting. Positions her as the trusted voice in a noisy skincare world.
Virtual care & accessible medicine
Why virtual dermatology matters, what an appointment actually looks like, and who has been left behind until now.
Skin health for patients of color
Hyperpigmentation and conditions underrepresented in medical education, and why a dermatologist who sees your skin isn't optional.
Physician journey, burnout & reinvention
Honest stories from inside medicine. Corporate acquisition, what burnout really costs, and the decision to build something real.
Entrepreneurship on your own terms
The leap out of institutional medicine. Immigrant grit. What it means to bet on yourself when the system says stay.
Integrative wellness & mind-body-skin
Stress and skin. Gut health and dermatology. The whole-patient lens, growing as her integrative certification completes.
Ninety days, in two phases.

The hero asset: the VSL.
The video sales letter lives only on the funnel landing page. It isn't posted to social and it isn't on the practice homepage — only people who have already entered the funnel ever see it. That makes it a conversion asset rather than an awareness one, which means it can be direct, personal, and longer than social would tolerate. Target runtime: two to three minutes.
The hook
Open mid-story. No introduction yet. Drop the viewer into something true.
The problem
Name the patient's pain. Six-month waits. Rushed appointments. Doctors who don't know how your skin behaves.
The story
Who she is, why she left, what she built. This is where trust is earned rather than claimed.
The solution
What the practice offers. Virtual appointments, no waiting rooms, unhurried expert care from home.
The ask
"Your first appointment is a conversation. No pressure. Just answers." Simple, warm, direct to booking.
Twenty-five reels, written before the shoot day.
These span all six pillars, work as standalone reels and TikToks, and form the backbone of three months of posting. Hook language is a starting point — she makes it hers.

Four looks, because one headshot isn't a brand.
The photography has to serve every touch point: website, social, press kit, speaking one-sheet, ads, and the personal brand that carries her for the next five years. So we shoot four distinct looks in two days.
Clinical authority
- Backdrop
- White seamless or soft light gray
- Attire
- White coat worn open over a blouse
- Mood
- Commanding. Direct eye contact. She earned this.
- Use
- Website hero, press kit, LinkedIn header
Modern physician
- Backdrop
- Warm neutral — ivory, sand, soft taupe
- Attire
- Structured blazer in a jewel tone. No coat.
- Mood
- Sophisticated and approachable. The person behind the MD.
- Use
- Social headers, VSL still, speaker one-sheet
Lifestyle / candid
- Location
- Outdoors, coffee shop, or her own office
- Attire
- Elevated but not stiff
- Mood
- Real and warm — the version students waited 45 minutes to talk to
- Use
- Carousels, thumbnails, bio photos
Editorial statement
- Backdrop
- Deep navy or forest green paper
- Attire
- Bold color, strong silhouette
- Mood
- Iconic. The photo for media features and podcast artwork.
- Use
- Podcast cover, press, brand partnerships
Two days, scheduled to the quarter hour.
A shoot this size only works if the plan exists before anyone arrives. Day one is the studio: the VSL, formal photography, and the authority reels. Day two is the real world: outdoors, her own office, and the reels that need her to feel what she's saying.
Day one — studio
VSL, formal photography, and 14 reels
Day two — outdoors and her own space
Lifestyle photography and 11 reels
And the engine underneath it.
The CRM build is what makes every piece of content worth creating. Someone who finds her on Instagram, watches the VSL, and clicks book should enter a fully automated trust sequence that carries them all the way to an appointment before anyone has to lift a finger.
The ad
Lead generation campaign targeting a defined local audience, with a modest monthly spend and a measured cost per lead.
Landing page
VSL above the fold, simple form below it. One ask: book a short consult.
Instant reply
Automatic text within seconds, in her voice, plus a personalized video message. The front desk is notified at the same moment.
Nurture
Reminder sequence at 72, 24, and one hour. Post-visit nurture, rebooking prompts, review requests.
Pipeline
Dashboard monitored on her side. Warm leads flagged for her personal follow-up within 24 hours.
Workflows in the build
- Lead capture pipeline from ad to form to CRM
- Instant automated welcome text and email
- Personalized "meet the doctor" video send
- Appointment reminders at 72hr / 24hr / 1hr
- Post-visit thank-you and rebooking, three touches
- Missed appointment re-engagement
- Review request automation, post-visit and at seven days
- Monthly newsletter and content pipeline
- Dashboard access and lead alert notifications
How it's handled
The CRM build and all workflows are included in the engagement. Platform access and ad spend are billed separately and stay in the client's name, so she owns the account and the data.
A HIPAA Business Associate Agreement is in place, and the platform is a HIPAA-managed service. Peacock Media handles optimization, workflow refinement, ad creative, and campaign management.
What she ends up holding.
